When I pass from my body and leave this earth
I wish to be planted as a tree and grow forever in girth
To provide shade and shadow for ever and then
to return to earth to dirt once again
For this I am and forever will be
a piece of eternity
sublime and catching
green and fetching
forever green
I wish to be
I am earth
plant me a tree
When I pass from body and leave this earth
plant me a kiss before I hit dirt
forgive the bluntness
forgive the hurt
Give me grievance
give me sweet smelling dirt
I am forever green
I am tree
plant me in earth
