Good morning,
I am ashamed to say I have slacked again. In my efforts to keep up with my creative and business writing I once again have failed to pay attention to my green blog. I don't believe I have come up with any new ways to be green nor have I gone to any extreme measures to live a green existence. My daily actions I believe are enough to affect the world as a whole when multiplied by those around me.
Reusing the coffee grounds, using fabric towels instead of paper ones, using a scrub brush for washing dishes and not sponges. I walk the nearly two miles to the grocery store instead of driving and I carry along with me my fabric tote for bringing goods back home. I am sure to use every last drop of dish and laundry soap. I do not buy specialized cleaner for my steam cleaner, instead I use a combination of dish soap or laundry soap, vinegar and sometimes bleach. Works wonderfully and I don't have to worry about chemical residual for my family and my dog to sit upon.
My dog, Alfie gets a lot of leftovers in the pretense of not wasting...which we don't waste because he does get to eat the leftovers and it makes him a very happy dog. There are things I do involving dog waste that is a green effort too. Sometimes I bury the "evidence" which if you don't have too many dogs and you do have enough yard to do these, your yard will love you for it. Just be sure to dig deep enough. Enough said....
Just remember every small effort makes a difference!
